A lead Micro Tool company has expanded its line of Sphinx Micro Drills that are made of fine-grained solid carbide, and deliver exceptional tool life and consistent process reliability. They are recommended for materials such as steel, titanium and nickel alloys, aluminium, and copper.
The first new micro drill,
Art.# 51200, available in Ø0.30 mm – 1.50 mm, in steps of 0.01 mm, is offered with a 3mm reinforced shank in standard lengths of 6xD, and can be run with or without coolant. The specially designed two-flute geometry delivers a point angle of 130˚ and a helix angle of 35˚ for extreme precision and close tolerance.
The second micro drill, Art.# 50620, available in Ø0.50 mm – 1.60 mm, in steps of 0.05 mm, is offered in standard lengths at 10-15xD. The two-flute geometry offers a point angle of 118˚ and a helix angle of 25˚.
The third new micro drill,
Art.# 50695, is offered in Ø0.20 mm – 1.50 mm, in steps of 0.01 mm. The two-flute geometry offers a point angle of 118˚ and a helix angle of 30˚, is available in lengths of 6xD and offers a positive tolerance.
